Oxford Hills ATV Trail Blazers Oct. 12, 2011
Present: Ken Gammon, Stan & Esther Hunt, George May, Al Neidt, and Ed Smith
Ken talked w/Suomela and explained about the gate being rammed and chains broken. He said if it keeps happening they might want to try to put some game cameras out there to try to find out who is trying to break the gate down. More discussion ensued regarding this situation. Discussion then turned toward the lots that Verrill owns. Last spring he said he didn’t think he was going to sell any of the lots so we could use the land to ride on. But this fall, it seems that one of the lots has been sold because there is a trailer up there so we will not be able to ride up there now.
We’ve got about $1,100 left on the trail grant but Ken doesn’t know of anything else we need to do unless they need some help on the other end of the Buck Farm to put up a gate.
Cruisin' for St. Jude’s Ride & Cookout on October 23rd. Ken talked with Albert Silver – he rode up to the rock quarry and found there is a gate on it on the other end (by the road) so we will not be able to get a vehicle up there.
The club to purchase items to have a cookout on top of Mount Tom and the ride to be our Cruisin' for St. Jude’s ride. Will need a head count by Friday, 10/21 in order to purchase food, please e-mail Esther at: elhunt_1955@yahoo.com or call 890-8288 in the evening to rsvp.
